at work theres a fish tank with a big fish in id say 20 inchs big or so and its one of those that suck the side of teh glass

if that makes sense

what are they called and how do i get one and look after it!

Any colours?

Normal grey coloured ones, you can get from anywhere really, but they'll only be an inch or two long, it takes years to grow them massive, and you'll need a large tank too.

You will also need to provide lots of hidey holes etc, lots of real weed, and algee, you can get algee tabs, but real algee is best.

because work moved there building into this big manner house and it was just left in the house so we took it on

its i would say gray/black and theres nto much for it to hide in iv got a pic if that helps ?

They are called the sucky glass fish, and can grow up to about 20" in size.

What size do you want it to grow?

it want it to grow fairly big
i dont wanan spend no massive amounts of money haha

just want oen of those nice and simple moderatly big

and mayb a couple of other fish in there

Well plecs will live with anything really, just watch you don't get really large fish with it, as they'll have your plec for lunch

Right, you need your basic tropical fish tank setup, make lots of hidey holes for the plec to hide.

Get some algee blocks, and a PLANT tube light.
The reason for getting a plant tube, as it'll help natural algee grow, which is what Plecs eat, you can also get pellets for them too.

Try and get some small bottom feeding fish too, as any food the Plec misses, they'll eat afterwords.

Other than that, thats it really, keep as any normal tropical fish...
by the way, don't expect to see it much during the day, as they are night feeders, so you'll rarely see it out in the light.

Biggest tank you can afford.

Plecs will grow to the size of the tank will allow.

But get something decent, not one of the those fancy plastic crappy things...
