If your car ride height has dropped it sounds like your rubber suspension cones are shot or maybe the knuckle joint or the suspension cone has worn very badly? How new are your GMax shockers?
If your going to replace the rubber, cone or joint, make sure you get NEW (i.e. don't buy unknowns from eBay)

its a mini mate, mine sometimes leaves the ground if i go through slight dips in the road too fast. its just the solid suspension

If it's low, then there is a problem as nicksuth suggested.

My Mini bounces over bad bumps and pot holes, but it's in no way painful, nor would it put me off using it.

So your suspension needs attention.

Oh and if those GMAX dampers are adjustable, then check their not set to rock hard. Basically turn them down to minimum and then turn them up a notch at a time until the ride quality gets noticibly worst and turn them back down a notch again.

You want good handling, but also a good ride for road use Minis.

New rubber cones are a good investment. If they are shot your mini will be harsh on you and the road will be harsh on your mini.

If you decide to buy new cones, always buy original Dunlop, these are good for a good 5 years or so, cheap copies will last 3 months at the most.

There is also other options as coil springs replacement for the rubber cones. If you browse around in the forum you'll find some very happy users and their reviews
coil springs

Lastly, you find the more expensive coilover setups

Mini Spares supply O/E Dunlop/Moulton Rubber Springs (Donuts).

But you'll probably need new suspension knuckle joints too.

You'll need a cone compression tool, to get the cones out!
one thing i will say, always replace in pairs!

Gmax shocks wont be helping this, if they're just the normal yellow ones that everywhere sells,.. they're quite stiff,.. standard replacement ones will be much better at smoothing out the ride.

What size wheels do you have on this car?
