Ok so I had the RAC out tuesday for the mini to tow me home because of a burst perol pipe in the mini. Luckily I had brought a Micra the day before and swapped the insurance and I fine.

Driving to college yesterday in the micra I lost all power in 4 and 5 and we ruled that down to damp in the distibuter. I pottered on ok and got to college hoping it would dry out a bit during the day. It drove home fine no troube got about 2 miles from home and the engine cut out (in the middle of a roundabout! ) Some kind people pushed me into a lay buy and i rang the RAC 5 mins later. After the 15 mile jouney that car had munched through 3 quarters of a tank of petrol! Which I later found out was from the mini so contained lead addditive!! (Thanks dad! ) The RAC man and Tobys boss said it wouldnt have been that thats damaged the car but im not sure.

Anyway they turned up saying its damp in the distibuter. he tries to fix that and get it started and it starts to smoke out the exhaust blue white smoke. We then find out its running on 3 cylinders and the second spark plug is wet with petrol but when you test for a spark its sparking! Toby has cheaked all the leads and plugs and thought it might be a sticky valve but he checked that.

Any Ideas? P reg nissan micra!

Thank you

Holly
