New Door Card

I have had a little thought about door cards. I wanted something really simple e.g. blank, nothing on them, so I came up with the idea of getting some dark green acrylic and cutting out and copying the door cards I have already. That means just cutting holes for the handles, winder, lock etc.
What are your thoughts?? They are much appreciated and aren't just ignored.
Cheers

Yeah I was thinking of putting something on them after I had made them and liked them
Cheers again, I'll go and get some green acrylic from somewhere. Do you think B&Q will stock something like that??

And if it's the same stuff we used in DT at school...personally I think it would look a bit naff!

Well rattling could be a problem, but I'll sort it when it comes.Acrylic would most likely rattle too much.

What stuff did you use at school??
Nevermind thenit depends on what kind you get - i dont know where to get it im afraid - but yes it probably would rattle so it maybe worth sticking some thin sound deddening or sticky back foam (sorta stuff used in a dash) to the back of it - facing into the door - that should reduce and possibly illiminate the rattleing

Any ideas as to what type of tape, or just duck tape or something??think a handy thing when your drilling is tape on the surface, then dril through the tape. think that should stop cracking...
Ok......Polypropylene, find yourself some Foamex or Corriboard.
