How Will I No If My 1275 Is A Gt ?

hiya
my mini says its a 1300 on registration documents we have talked about this before
its says when i put engine number in its a mg metro engine 1300/1275 1989
is it a gt or just a normal 1275

how can i find this out etc

SOUNDS LIKE A STD CLUBMAN WITH A LATER 1300 ENGINE FITTED.

If it says (for starters) 1989 MG Metro 1275, then it's an A+ 1.3 engine taken from an MG Metro.

So no, it's not a 1275GT engine as such.

A 1275GT engine would be a straight A series and would still have the old dynamo mounting I believe?
