Hey
I got a set of original Cooper S rims, but my question is if they are the real deal or the reverse ones(which are quite common i hear).
The offset is about 4 1/4" (11cm) and rim is 4.5inch wide, and 10" high of course.

They don't look like reverse rims to me,.. usually the centre of the wheel is a lot more recessed on reverse rims than the pictures you've supplied appear to show:

See how much the dish sticks out on these reverse rims:

compared to these genuine 3.5" Cooper S wheels, where the hub cap is almost sitting proud of the rest of the wheel! These are very rare nowadays

The 4.5" Cooper S wheels behave in a similar fashion, whereby the centre of the wheel is a lot closer to the edge of the rim (albeit not as much as the 3.5" version however). And they're obviously not normal steels because they're vented

Up to a few months ago non-reverse S rims were worth quite a bit, even tatty ones were fetching up to £100 each but now Minisport have had them remanufactued new the prices have dropped but some may prefer a set of actual factory original ones.
The narrow 3.5" S rims continue to be sought after as they are not available new........yet.

the big question here must be are these wheels the same quality as the factory, and not reclaimed alfas mixed with more rust and the stamped together in China by some one that earns 3 quid a month?
what tests have Minisport done? to see if these wheels stand the test of time.
