
What Is My Carb?

I have a 1988 998cc city E
Does anyone know what the carb is?? its standard.
Just wondering because i was thinking about fitting a k & n filter on it. OR is it not worth it?

and a k&n is worth it as if there set up right can improve effiency and bhp by like 2bhp!!
also theres the noise!!!
but its worth fitting an exhaust etc.. then getting it setup properly at a RR

Yeah it just had a stage 1 kit fitted but without the filter and went on a rr at slark. is now a dream to drive

Fitting a K&N will lean out the mixture, if you're fitting one you'll need to adjust the mixture accordingly.

Nope you'll have an SU HS4
Fitting a K&N will lean out the mixture, if you're fitting one you'll need to adjust the mixture accordingly.
Adjust via another needle and a rolling road, is what you've meant, right?
Any supplier of Mini spare- and tuningparts should be able to get you an K&N filter.
Either for the original airbox or a cone one. Which ever you like... They differ performancewise only in scientific values...
Would've been wiser to first buy the filter and get it RR'd afterwards
