just wondering if i need to tell my insurance company about the subtle mods ive made to my mini? it now has a chrome grill and bumpers (previously black), mk1 rear nuber plate light, i also intend to change the layout of he switches and install a starter button. what do i do.

personally i would because they can be very picky, not sure about the chrome but i would deffinatley with the starter button

If it's non-standard stuff, then yes you should tell them as they'll use it as an excuse not to pay out in the event of a claim.

After all, fitting chrome will attract people's attention, so just tell your insurers.
