Drum Brakes, Dinitrol/ Waxoyl?

Just bought new back plates for the drum brakes.

Should I dintrol/waxoyl the outside face of the drum plate?

I don't want oil going into the brake drums obviously but dintrol is quite sticky and doubt the rear brakes would get hot enough to melt it?

What do you guys think?

Paint them with something a little more resiliant, Stone chip for instance. Dries off to a lovely factory-esque finish of matt black.
