is it possibal to convert a standard head to a turbo ond ,i know i'll need bronze valve guide and take the lugs off on the chamber etc but is there no other reason why i can't do this cheers bradx

yeah you can convert any 1275 head to turbo use, get in touch with turbo phil.

Basically any head can be used. You don't need to run bronze guides, & the iron ones are much better wearing, but the bronze ones do conduct the heat better, so for boost levels over 10psi or so are adviseable.
You also don't need to remove the beak from the chamber, this is only done to increase the chamber volume & drop the compression. Depending on the volume required i'd stick to a more efficient chamber shape as much as possible, this means keeping the beak & kidney type shape.
