Our Sprite is in for it's MOT and needs new swivel joints...

... I have been toying with the idea of putting 7.5 'S' disks on it then having the whole thing re-sprayed Old English White and doing the MK1 chrome, 10" wheel, MK1 rear lights s thing

Thing is... if the garage is going to do the joints, then I might as well get him to install new hubs and disks... or am I being silly?

i have read that the 7.5" cooper s disk brakes are not particularly good.

yep agreed... theres a lesser surface area of small discs so the standard ones are better.... but if your going for the mk1 rplica then yep go for it.... but be aware of the lower braking force!

i wasnt say dont do it ( i love the look of MK1's) just warning about the braking efficiency
