Started at just past 9 this morning, and finished at 1;45 having got everything including valve clearances done, now it drives and flies like a little pocket rocket that it should be >_<

Total cost?
4 hours free labour ( >_< )
£7 for a head gasket kit ( incl cyl head, thermostat, rocker cover, exhaust and carb gaskets >_< )

Woop >_< Really happy now as i'm probably taking the car down the m1 to the zoo tomorrow :)

Oh and for all you nutters that do this in a couple of hours, i like to take my time, oh and i spilled a tin of paint in the garage too haha woops.

I think thats where i may have gone wrong last time, if in which you mean torquing it down sometime in the future?
Otherwise i have already cranked it down to 68nm :(

I'm so glad i bought a torque wrench so bloody handy!

Top Stuff :( >_< >_<

Only thing i will say is that i would have spent a little extra and gone for the PAYEN AF460 head gasket but im sure the one you have will be fine!!!

As said dont forget to drive it abit, then let it cool down completely, and then check the torque on the nuts again!!! >_<
