Hi i have a 1984 mini city E. a problem has recently arrised. can u please help?
the car has a central speedo but it does not light up anymore. by this i mean all the lights like indicators and start up work but in the dark the whole unit does not light up anymore so i cannot read the speedo.
Originally the speedo lit up but within the last two weeks it has stopped. all the bulbs are fine and i cannot find any breaks in the wiring anywere, i have also checked all fuses that i can find.
Any ideas?

Knackered fuse box? The rears do get very rusty with age and are you sure the bulbs haven't blown?

Hi, yes the bulbs r fine. thanks for the advice. after twidling the connections to the fuse box i can get them to work so i think i will replace the fuse box.
