Hi guys

What would i need to do to change from a standard spi set up with MEMS and everything standard to a downdraught weber 26/32 (i think it is). The car is a 1995 sprite.

I am maybe thinking of megajolting it too so i might just ditch the ECU and get a Jolt Jr and weber . What do you reckon guys??

Cheers

No because i had the engine made up from an older engine with the modern spi gear from the original car.

Would i be in serious doo doo then or are webers renound for being a bit thirsty??

what sort of fuel pump are you using? This is a very easy and worthwhile conversion.

If you set it up correctly, emissions won't be a problem either.

Personally, I'd rate the HIF44 way over the downdraft weber ( unless it's an IDA of course )

ps, only if you can prove the age of the engine will it affect the 'MOT year' and hence emissions.

But in answer to the question, ditch the ignition/injection system in it's entirey, ecu etc etc, replace the dizzy for a 'normal' one or mappable ignition ( eg megajolt ) and off you go...
