[b]Year:99

[b]Description of problem Ok this is how it is my mini beeps when it wants! randomly, i might be going past a really fit girl or anything and it just beeps away! i dont mean a blip i mean full on horn action. Well to stop this i push my dash forward its not tight (need to adjust the holding bracket in the centre) and it seems to stop if you hit the right spot. Now it happens when i go over some bumps, so what i'm thinking is a wire issue, but is it with the horn or alarm??? its a standard rover alarm... i know prob the only way i will see is to remove the dash. But i was hoping somebody out there must have some advice clues or tips to help moi in the solvage of this embarrassing issue >_<

Simple, you have a short somewhere so the horn goes off. Give the loom a bit of a wiggle. It will either make it happen or worse.

sounds like a proper mini, has a mind of its own! Should be a dodgy part in the wiring, if you can find where the wires to the horn go, have a look to see what might be causing the horn to go off. Could be touching something to set it off?

find out what wires are for the horn, whack a multimeter on em and take it from there

i believe the one going to the horn from the stalk is purple/black, if u push the horn and no power is going through it then backtrack till u find the fault
