Hi all,

My name is Jamie

I have been into minis and other classics for a little while now and you know how it is, you sometimes get carried away and end up with more than one car !

The wife is expecting our 2nd kid soon so i am after some advice on what to do...

I am no Richard Branson by the way, and as you all know minis are cheep to buy but expensive to maintain.
Here is the problem

We have a 1977 mg midget with low mileage and in good condition with spare wheels and other bits and bobs,
A 1984 rebuilt modified mini, metro engine, 13 inch wheels, body kit,4 pots etc,
A 1985 convertible mini with custom interia, lots done including engine change, floors , etc
And my favorite one (just) a standard 1980 HL with the only upgrade being disc brakes and welding that needed to be done.
All these cars need a little tlc to finish them off to a high standard.

Back to the problem i am only going to keep ONE car so which ONE ???

What should i do (divorcing the wife not an option).

Any pics aswell before she makes them ALL go!

Wouldn't want to tell you what to do aswell, but I think you can sell "wifes" on ebay.......

This i agree with! In our garage we have a 1966 mini cooper, 1978 resto mini cooper, 1978 mini 1000, 1981 mini 1.3, 1991 mini 1000, 1979 mini that is used for rallys and has done quite well!, a MK1 shell and a MK3 shell! Im very understanding when on top of all that there are also countless other rally cars in there!
Keep the one you like most! you will only regret it if you sell your favourite!

thanks for the input but the main problem is i like different cars on different days.!!

should i sell the ones that are worth the most and keep the cheapest one ?

i just don't know what to do.

Hi..and welcome to TMF and what a problem you have I think you should keep the 1985 convertible mini with custom interia, lots done including engine change, floors , etc as there more valueable...............

i am looking for a mini so if you feel friendly and want to pass one on for free ha ha, i would be willing to have anyone ha ha, my advice keep your favorite one. you will only regret getting rid of it, or add up the pros and cons on witch needs less spending on to get it immaculate and keep that one all the best

Keep the MG and one of the mini's, perhaps the 1980 modified one. You'll still make a bit on that convertible mini depending on its condition.

sell them all and get a hibread car its cleaner and cheaper to run, but please use the bus when you can or buy the hole family some push bikes as this will help keep our roads and citys clean.

na im messin with ya if you did all of the above i think i would come track you down lol

oooooo 1 more thing welcome to tmf

so hard to decide what to do, i am swaying to keep the soft top and sell/swap the rest !
like most mini owners i want a van/pickup, but don,t we all at some point.
look out in the for sale section soon ..maybe!
