A+ Block mated with A series Stage 3 Head !
I Need someone in the Canterbury (Kent) area to have a look at the block and head to make sure everything is OK and finish off the cooling / non bypass hose work. So that I can be a little more confident that when I fit the new lump it will be a good'n.
Does anyone in the area know of a mini owner who is up to the job and wants a bit of cash for their time. I really cant afford full garage rates & don't think I'd find one who would look at a half done job. i don't expect people to do it for nothing I am happy to pay, but am having my own little credit crunch at the moment. ie about to be made redundant!

If thats all you have done there isnt really much that go wrong. You need to block of the Bypass hose, minispares sell a kit. and torque up the head studs with a torque wrench, the worst case scenario is you'll blow a head gasket. I would just bite the bullet and do it yourself.
You could take the head to a machine shop and ask them to check if it has warped.

Thanks Liirge.
There goes a man with confidence. I guess you're right. I'll give it a go, noting to lose.
