You'll probably end up with everybodys personal choice asking questions like that, and end up non the wiser..

I'll add mine :P Running Falkens all round, done about 16,000 miles in last 2 yrs all weathers never had a problem with them.
Sister and Bro in law both running Falkens on theres, no problems.

Not a bad price either.

aaahh sorry my mistake

All depends on what wheels are fitted, as to what size tyres you can get away with.. The tyre fitting place should actually be able to advise what tyres can be fitted to your rims..

165/60/12's aren't anything special really.

ok thats great, thanks for the reply, as long as the tyres are good tyres then we dont mind really lol

it has got falkens on it so we shall stick with them

thanks for your advice - much appreciated.

as shes just passed her test and has been driving about 4 weeks I just wondered if there were any particular tyres that would affect the cars handling etc!
shes going to castle coombe and being only 17 I do worry!

Thanks,

Yep, almost guaranteed...

Standard is 145/70r12
Normally replaced by 165/60r12 - same rolling radius, more tread on the road.

Either Falken's or Yokohama, there are cheap tyres in the smaller size but they're generally not very good, and I know you wouldn't want to scrape on the only things connecting the car to the road!

Hope all goes well...
