may have to part with Mimi and wondering what you all think she's worth on the open market.
Details are:
1988 Mayfair lovingly restored by me between May and September of this year.
Sub frames, sills and body 100% solid, mechanically perfect, drives better than well (every day), and is
nice and quick with her standard 998 in tip top condition. (45 mpg and 40mph in first gear).
New head gasket, points, plugs, full service and very careful tuning a month ago.
NO RUST ANYWHERE. (no, not even there...)
Rover Special Project Minilites, new shoes, discs and shocks all round.
Genuine factory walnut dash, genuine Rover radio cassette, new carpets and half leather
back / white interior. Halogen headlight conversion.
Had a MK1 grille fitted last week. Painted number plate on the bonnet and
brown (works style) bonnet strap.
Genuine MK1 boot with "Austin Cooper S" badges, flip up number plate and Lucas reversing lamp (cosmetic and not wired).
MOT'd until October '08 and ready to drive soundly and safely to any destination.
Number plate etched on all glass except passenger door.
5" Spot lights and Maniflow centre exit exhaust included (Not fitted).
To look awesome she would need a rub and polish - nothing more.
This is not a project - Mimi is a ready to drive away and every day. She's a tip top Mini with a few stylish frills.
Paint is black.
Will sail through the next MOT without a penny spent.
Pictures tomorrow but opinions in the meantime gratefully received.
Best wishes
Monty
