Everyone does it a different way but this is how i do windows:

put the seal on the glass with the widest groove facing outwards

put some string in the groove that the body work will be going in and put some fairy liquid in to

now put the window (with seal) on the body work try to get the bottom in as tight as possible

now do the same with the sides (you may want a friend inside the car in case you push it straight through the gap)

get you friend to pull the string out of the seal whilst you hold the window firmly in place (make sure they hold both ends tight) this will pull out the lip of the seal causing it to erm.. seal and bobs ur uncle your windows in!

now the hard part!

you will have a filler for the seal in either black or chrome (your choice) this widens the seal at stops the window falling out

you want to start it in the dead centre top or bottom get you mate to tell u when its in the centre

go round using to filler tool this opens the seal allowing the filler to go in to the groove

and a few tips:

you can never use to much fairy liquid but make sure you wash it all off asap!

and be very careful not to slip when puttin in the filler as this will leave a nasty scratch :D

Edit: I cant believe there was link while I spent ages typing that out! :P

Wired I put mine in last night, I watch a pro do my windscreen before so thought i would give it a go.
it takes about 30mins.

clean seal etc before you start.

fit seal to the window apature

from the outside fit window into bottom of seal

then feed the seal over the glass with blunt plastic implament, starting from one bottom corner, then up the side, then other bottom then up the other side, then top edge (i used the plastic handle of cheap craft knife with the handle cut down and sharpened and no blade in it).

put lub all round the seal (i used autogleam vinal and rubber cleaner) then insert fillet tool to the middle of the seal at the top, put the fillet through the middle of the fillet tool and slowly push the fillet the direction you want, keeping the tool a shallow angle near flat with the seal, fit the the fillet all around the seal. (also i made a fillet tool from an old wire coat hanger not as good as the proper thing but worked)

fit the metal cover to hide the fillet gap.

job done
