hi

came to mini this morning as I now have her pritty well running nice (except a ratterling sound which I hope to find) and would not start just a loud ticking when I turned her over. so I had to get to golf asap - so jump started her.

drove 9 miles - played golf 4 hours came back same problem so had the lads puch and jump her!!

Drove 9 miles home - on the way home the imobaliser light was on and the light for the battery was on on the speedo.

is the battery knacked or the altanator???? - I do not have electrical testing equipment is thier a way to tell????

thanks in advnace

If the battery light was on that means there's no charge getting to the battery but with you saying that the immobiliser light was on is making me think the immobiliser is playing up.

Personally i'd get it to an auto electrician

You could also take the battery to any good car shop and they will test the battery normally for free!

defo not the immobiliser as it jump starts fine. Sounds like a good idea to take it to get tested.
