will a smoking engine affect emissions test in mot? or the emissions that emit oil burning does not affect the test?

if you got a good mot tester he may be leanent on the emissions, you can get them sorted at the mot, will have to pay.
my first failed on it and with out a cat, but my didnt need a cat i refused, so i took my mini to a high performance car mot place, they take cars with out cats and he said i shouldnt have even bothered with the emitions, he said they work betta slightly ritch and its carb so emitions will suck anyway. so it all depends on the mot guy.
good luck

hi not to sure if emmisson would be effected by burning oil but if i leave it till its time for mot nowing my luck it will fail. and the new engine would be modded.
