Hey Guys,

I have got to the stage now, were my mini needs a spray, and i have been deliberating of a few colours i like, but it has come down to this!

But i have no idea what it is, it looks like a gun metal grey, but if any one knows were the pic comes from or the colour code, it would be a great help. ;)

Also Will be Putting my mini up in the projects section soon! :grin:

You cant possably tell from a photo the true colour of a car due to a lot of things including ,camera settings , lighting at time of photo, printing of photo , scaning of photo , and even down to the colour settings on your monitor .
the only way to tell is to get the colour code from the car (if it hasent been resprayed) and then use the colourchips to match it to the nearest variant of that colour (some metalics can have 13 variants)
but i can tell you it is some sort of metalic grey.

Just got mine sprayed a similar color!! I used Dupont dark silver metallic

looks like my mini colour nordic blue metallic but as woody said you can never tell from a picture

looks like the same (or very similar) colour as the BMW Cooper 'S'. The dark gun metal grey. If you can do it without being :sick: it might be worth popping down to your local BMW dealer and picking up a BMW Mini brochure, that'll have the colour listed which you can have a match made up from. :rolleyes:

your best bet is to pop into your local body repair place, say your thinking of getting your car painted soon and want to look at some colour chips! but looking at the pic it is the new mini gun metal gray(looking at my colour chips 43 variants for that!)

Could pass as Mercury Grey off an Old XR2i as well?
