i took the bootlid off my 25 and stripped all the parts off of it, no big job heres what's left;
next i used a hair dryer and sharp chisel to take off the decals;
i used the angle grinder to grind down the glue from the number plate and decals,then keyed the surface;
first coat of red oxide.i used a spray can;
i then sanded down the first coat using warm soapy water and 240 wet and dry;
it was starting to get cold and dark so i packed up ,more tomorrow.
plan to put on another 2 coats of red oxide ,then maybe 3 coats of matte lacuer depending if the red oxide runs in the rain , does it?
