Definately worth fitting, would be silly not to with a new engine. many a time i got my oil preassure to drop drastically in my gearbox without a centre oil pickup. starved the cylinders of oil, you get the jist..
how easy are they to fit? can they be done at home... what i mean is do they have to be fitted when all gears are out.

Would a standard 998 engine be strong enough?
Standard 998 gerbox you mean?
Just as strong as a standard 1275 I guess... Should be okay for a while.
