Was slightly disappointed. Don't think the Vendors had a great day either. There was some nice cars there, but nowhere near the turnout for Bingley Hall, or Dudley. One thing I personally didn't like was the amount of BMWs. I'm loathe to call them a Mini, as they are behemoths. There was also no catering in the Hall, which wasn't clever as you are always going to get hungry and thirsty people at a Show like this. I did buy more OLD parts at auto jumble than I expected though. Jim

Not as good as last year, dragged a mate down who hadnt been to a mini show in a few years, wish i hadnt bothered and it wasnt going to impress him at all. got a couple of bits i needed but overall not worth the considerable fuel and time cost.

Typical, the day I take the Mini to work is the same day the M6 is closed. 90 mins stuck in a traffic jam in a Mini with the oil light flickering isn't fun!

idally switch it off if youll be idling for a while, my advice now is to it an oil pressure guage, or fit an adjustable switch

I was 99% sure that it was nothing to worry about, as I have a gauge fitted and it was showing good pressure. Once I got to work and checked, I found that somehow the connector for the oil sensor had come off and was earthing against the clutch housing!

Its amazing how badly some people look after a car. How do you lose the owners manual, or spare key? Or in some cases, bits of interior trim?

If you owned a Mk1 Corsa, why would you remove the Vauxhall badge and replace it with a Ferrari badge?

Why not? It's a genuine 300BHP increase.

It's to disguise the corsa
remember some are limited edition -
only 1000000000000000000000000000 were ever made

I know of someone booked for changing the badge on his car
He put a seat front end (panels) on a VW Van
and was told to remove - he didn't , so was booked for it

Is it worth notifying the DVLA about an engine change? Seems to be mixed opinions about this.

The problem is that not declaring it gives your insurance a perfect get out clause not to pay out if anything happens. I changed mine - all I needed for DVLA was a letter from a garage to confirm the engine change (and size) and a few photos (engine number) and it was done no problems - unless they have become even more anal these days (mine was 3 yrs ago)

yep not your problem when ya dead, that don't matter until ya survive or the other person lives and they have all cost's declined by your insurance as you couldn't/wouldn't afford to do it propa

Anyone notice how Mr Bean kept his Mini in pretty amazing condition? Not a spot of rust on it!

Re-Wired the whole car today, and now a front sidelight doesn't work, my washer jet, clock, and a speaker. Not sure if I should be pleased that all the important stuff is working, or disappointed that those 4 things aren't?
