Get a cup of tea and just go and sit in it for a while. That does wonders :-)

Whilst in the queue at a place selling Mini parts today I didn't feel as much the amateur as I used to. When you hear comments such as "no thats the wrong choke cable, thats for a fuel injection model" you know your not at the bottom end of Mini repair knowledge.

Getting fed up of Minis. Every time I try and do something nice to improve the car it never works out.

I know the feeling. Well at least it is never straightforward. I always think cool it will be nice when I renew this / that and then there is always some kind of compromise, or something doesn't seem quite right with it and you don't get that nice feeling you were aiming for!

They aren't legally allowed to block you in due to fire and medic access in an emergency.

Rear floorpan has a welded patch on each side, done in the past (about 18 months ago) and it has been botched (they just welded it from the inside) so it all needs redoing. It seems to have gone rotten already.

First time our in the Mini in six weeks and only second time all winter. Its difficult trying to remember which noises are harmless and which are ones that I need to worry about.
