Given up with eBay, ordered a quantity of imperial plain nuts/nylocs and get sent the correct sizes/quantity, but in washers and wants me to pay for returns (no ******* chance). Looks like I’ll be refitting my suspension back together the old rusty/crusty fixings.

    Steve220 - it was massiveattack007.

And I thought having to cut down some 5/16" unf flywheel housing to block bolts to replace my rotten tie bar bolts, as none of the ones available are suitable (don't have the correct length shank)was going to be the pita.

All mine were late and were UNC. I emailed to tell them they'd got a £80 fastener order totally wrong and they just gave me my money back. I go with Kay fasteners now.

How wide are the rubbers on new wind up window weather strips? As my external passenger side ones doesn’t touch the glass at no point along its length, and is quite a bit of gappage in the middle. Just wondering if it’s the weather strip or door skin before wasting £30 on new weather strips.

Just wondering as the Climiar ones I’ve seen fitted to a few minis work out at around £55 (cheaper if you buy them direct) and the Heko/eBay ones are half the price.

Is it some new law that you now have to drive with your left hand indicator on for the next few miles? Ended up following a sign written vw transporter for 1.5 miles, then a 67 plate kia for 2.6 miles. And once that dozy driver had finally realized, the black 02 plate corsa behind it did the same for the remaining half mile before I turned off at the next roundabout.

Placed an order for some stickers Friday afternoon with IdleGear via Facebook, turned up Saturday morning. No issues with them and of far better quality than the crap Martin (stickyfingers) turned out after weeks of hassle and missing sections. And Idle Gear were slightly cheaper for a better quality product.

Every new item I’ve bought from various mini ‘specialists’ has either been wrong and didn’t fit or had to be modified to fit. Or on the rare chance it does fit, it still has to be replaced with another new item. Like why would you sell window trim cut to length for the front windscreen that was an inch and half too short?

Don’t you love eBay. Just bought and item needed ASAP. Only to be messaged by the seller 3 hours later that they can’t post the item for two weeks. Why bother listing it in the first place? Still if it hasn’t arrived within a week, PayPal it is (again)

I have a couple of large items that are clearly marked as collection only and please do not ask me to send as I do not have the packaging. One idiot bought an item then asked me to pack it up for his carrier & just now another one asked me if I would post to Cornwall.
    People are just stupid.

I would agree that your products are good quality and good value for money you just need to be more accurate with your delivery dates and communicate when things go wrong.

I’ve already gone elsewhere for the others (le side stipes) witch were £30 posted. And arrived within 3 days of ordering! I’ve also had a headlining kit made up from scratch (not an off the shelf one) within the last week via Facebook. And because it was posted a day late they chucked in a fiver refund.

Seeing as roofless was last on at 12.22am on the 19th, checking the tracking number would have been tricky. As the stickers weren’t posted until 16.27pm of the 19th. Another one of my pet hates, saying somethings been posted when it hasn’t (all too common on eBay). And despite what the tracking says they have finally arrived.

Am I the only one getting slightly frustrated and annoyed at how backwards this? With an increasing trend of buyers wanting the seller to call them? Is it just me that thinks that’s a little backwards, rude and lazy on the buyers part?

It's not really the gasket that the problem, i found one in a bunch of spare gasket. Its the float valve, as its dumping more fuel out the overflow than it is into the carb.

Dumb question, can you use a pre verto clutch plate in a verto clutch?
Feb 20 2017 06:56 PM
  • CAU998's Photo
    CAU998
No, you shouldn't have any issues with clutch depression, as that's due to the diaphragm. But it could be more grabby due to the lack of springs on the plate itself, which soften the uptake?

out of all the minis I've driven over they years mine has always had, imo a far too soft clutch, so I can't see it being much of an issue.
