will this one do?

Yes that's the very one I was describing from many moons ago: -
Well I seem to recall there was a prototype of a Mini Clubman with the Elf/Hornet rear end.
But back in the late 1980's, such a hybrid looking car used to appear at the Mini Shows (especially the NMOC day at Stanford Hall). It had a Clubman front, Elf/Hornet rear (wings and boot) and a Wolseley Hornet grille badge.
It also had Dunlop Denovo run-flat tyres too, so I doubt it got used much and it must still exist somewhere?
And I always liked it, complete with the Dunlop Denovo wheels/tyres. But where did you get that photo from?

Cheers Andy, at least it proves I hadn't dreamt about it then.
I'm pretty sure it also appeared in a Mini book around 1989, but all my old Mini book collection are packed away for the moment.

Its very cool!. Ive got a few muddled up models too, Pick-up with an elf front end, and vice versa
I can remember a member of the Pembrokeshire Mini Club owning a blue pick-up that had a Wolselely Hornet (or it might have been an Elf) front end.

I've done a search and I can't find the Pick-Up with the Hornet/Elf front end, plus the Pembroke Mini Club website isn't working now.
But I did find this which looks the same: -
This is another Mini oddity and an actual production car, or at least it got made in South Africa: -
The Wolseley 1000 it's a rare Mini. It was made in South Africa was made in South Africa between 1967 and 1969. It was basically a crossover of the front of the Wolseley Hornet and the body of the Mini 1000. This model was replaced by the Leykor Mini Mk3, which was a crossover of a Mini Front and the body of a Wolseley Hornet.
The actual car: -

Fantastic. Zooming in on the rear badge, I think it says 'Wolseley Hornet MK4'?
