No there plastic!!!! :-P if u turn a Japanese mini upside down u can quite clearly see the "made in japan" imprinted to the plastic :-D that's when u know u have a true JDM mini....... I suppose with right of passage u could get a jdm bride aswell hahahaI honestly dont see the difference... am i just being thick?
they look normal
the biggest difference is not rot what so ever.
so i take it they are made out of something different which is not metal then?
Seriously isn't it to do with the different metals used, it's like the vw beetles, the bugs made between certain years either had good steel where they didn't rust or crap steel whicch u could poke through maybe English mini's are more prone to getting wet than japNese mini's

I've had one with two towing eyes on and they were in the place where the front subframe bolts are.

i hope this is a joke..
im sure danie garry was not saying anything other than the Japanese have there own take on modification..
"who the hell writes that on a public forum?!?!"
was that aimed at me?!
No it wasnt aimed at you.
My bad, its not always easy to determine how people are saying things through typing.

it's not a drinks holder its an ash tray.
also the reason for being so rust free is that they do not salt their roads in japan.
the minilight style wheels are japanese minilights and would have to be imported if you wanted a set.

My take on the differnce would be, wide low and on 10's? They seem to all have similar arches too, Not sure which myself but Hey Ho! The few difference are noticable and i think all in all they look better. Lots of little tweeks that make a big improvement...
