cheers guys!
Had a big clear out of the garage in preparation of the estate, so it's looking clean and tidy at the mo! It won't last!

Ok I've got the front end stripped down now! Started to clean it all up ready to be rubbed down and sorted for the flip front!
Anyone know of a way to get the subframe looking clean and new and shiny and possibly bright yellow?

never really done much with the subbys, but you could get one of those rotary wire brush drill bits to clean it all up, then slap some nice thick filler primer on it, then slap some yellow paint on it I guess???

Yeah, should look fine. It certainly won't be the first mini with Hammerite on the subframe! lol
You can get smooth finish spray cans of Hammerite now too, could be the way ahead?

Yeah, smoothen it down, cover the main rust points in rust resistant stuff. Leave that to dry for the required time then slap some hammerite on.
Also get more hammerite on the usual rust spots and on the gaps

Ok a bit more progress on The Great Estate! I finally cleared out all the stuff inside including was was left of the interior! Got to have a poke around and have a look at the rusty areas a bit better.

Does anyone happen to know what the metal plate that's screwed into the spare wheel well cover is for? I have no clue!
