Wey! Got some more prgress done on the great one!
Finaly got the radius arms off the rear subframe, and cleaned everything up a bit. Found that the rear subframe had all ready been 'repaired' in the past, and had a rust hole as well, so that's being binned. Found a guy on ebay selling brand new powder coated ones for £150 so i may go for one of them.
Rubbed down and Kurust-ed the enigne bay bulkhead and got a layer of Hammerite anti-rust primer on.
So some colour may start appearing soon!
Its defo gonna be bright yellow because I want it to stand out, and it'll look great in the summer! But I Don't know what yellow to go for
A Nice yello MG and because it's MG it'll go with the engine 'm putting in I think its Inca Yellow
Any other thoughts though?

Weyhey got a rear subframe from a great bloke in Hastings! Its in good nick with radius arms pipes and back plates for £50. Not bad imo, It's also got some MiniSport Adjust-a-Rides! Which is gravy!
Parts piling up in garage! To parents delight
Also bought some seats of this guy! They're mint XR2i seats and they were £35 and after a leather retrim should go in without too much fuss (we put one next to a late cooper seat and they're very similar size!
Look a bit high here
Anyway that's all for now, Offside A panel should be coming off soon to be replaced

Oi Oi! Did my first real bit of welding today! Repaired a hole in the bottom of my hinge panel, quite pleased with my results too!
I also repaired and covered the air vent hole, then after a bit of grinding and filling a put on a couple of layers of stone chip ready to be primed tomorrow. Still got the other side too but what do you guys think?

Awesome! Did a 600 mile round trip to pick up my engine for the Great Estate! MG metro engine, with recon'd head and CR box (apparently), a few nearly new parts (dizzy, rad, hoses etc), HIF44, and other parts. Much thanks to my mate Paul for lending me his manly hands and Jim for selling it and letting me use his grinder
some more photo's coming soon!
got lots to sort out now! Need to get front subframe sorted and put back on!

looking good dude! Can't wait to see it sorted, sounds like its going to be similar-ish in appearance to Mighty Mini's estate?
