They all look really good. I think surf blue with a white roof or red with black roof looks best.

I took a few picks when I did mine (the green one on page one) or alternativly there is a 3 page guide in the January 06 (ish) mini mag.

Someone did the rear lights on mine so I added the grill and number plate hanger to stay like a mk1

no just the removal of the lip on the front of the bonnet

You can buy a genuine mk1 bonnet, but good luck in getting the hinges bolted up, they are in completely different places.

Instead open your bonnet, remove the chrome trim (6 or so screws or rivets) and then drill out the spot welds and remove the bottom lip and paint. The big problem though is the chrome trim is great at collecting water/grime and so helps hide any rot. So in the worst case you might find the bonnet behind it is a little on the crusty side.
