Will try and get a picture of mine, the rear ones I was going to use some heavy duty exhaust "u" clamps mounted to the rear subframe

Thanks I'd appreciate that.

I like those calipers! Apologies if you've already mentioned it, but what diameter are your discs?

K

PS I finally remembered to ask my son what rally we marshalled on, but he can't remember either, other than it was run by Gwendraeth Valley MC, not Teifi as I thought!!

They are these http://www.minisport...e_Assembly.html

These are the ones that i will be using from minimine

Busy week! Ive been putting off mounting the seats as i knew it might be tricky. This is a job that in hindsight i should have done before having it painted but having spoken to friends and re-read the MSA blue book i needed a better way of mounting the seats( to pass a scrutineers inspection) than i was going to do.
So i bought from C4NNON off here his weld in seat mounting kit, Quality bit of kit but it does need to be cut and welded to fit and heres how i tackled it
I had lying around a piece of alloy "L" section that i used as a template before cutting the round tube that forms part of the mounting. This is the tool i used to work out the angles that were needed to be cut, no idea what its called but it works. The template ended up nice and level though the steel plates were not in the picture below

Then the steel tube was cut to match the template and the end plates welded on

Then put the bars back in to make sure all was in order. Then tack welded the seat mounts onto the bars
Posted Image
Then took them back out to seam weld them all

Then the big job of welding them to the car

:highfive:

Nice one! I know the tubes are a pain to notch/mitre as they are so thick and CDS is tough as well, but I thought it's better to keep it MSA spec incase you are ever picked up on it!

They weren't to bad to do in fairness, was trickier keeping the welding heat down so as not to ruin the paint on the sills. And stronger the better is the way I wanted

Thanks keef.
When welding them to the car I did it in inch sections to try and keep the heat down. Just the passenger side to do!
