Even at 22, the Boxter looks like you have eyes bigger than your wallet. By way of 'respect' you want the 911 or the 350z.
Insurance is weird in that way. My mini on a 'normal' policy (long story) is 750 per year, a 3.5l s type I was looking at was 1700, seems stupid that performance cars are so 'cheap' in relation!

how do you mean eyes bigger than wallet? I'v got it all budgeted for, and I can afford the insurance if it is £2k+, which is the case in event of getting a 911 or an S2000.
Otherwise, all the others cost under £1500 in insurance terms.
911 is looking like the favourite with the 350z coming in a close second.
Will have to test drive both to see which i prefer.

No I didn't mean that sorry. I meant that you can't help but look at people who drive a Boxter and think 'aww, they wanted a sports car but couldn't afford a 911' I know it's horribly stereotypical but it's just one of those things. I'm not saying you can't afford it, you obviously can!
I envy your lifestyle that means you can have a 2 seater!

Why the S2000? Obviously good looks and reliable but the from what i'v heard all the real power in the engine is only available in the upper rev range meaning unless you're thrashing it about the place, its not the greatest car to drive.
Good cars to modify though - similarly the 350z though which edges it for me in style and power. It falls down in build materials though.

Jag wise - no way! I'm 22, not 62 and there is no way in my right mind I want to be seen in one let alone to be owning one!
sorry, my mistake, i thought when you said 'best' and 'sports car' i didn't realise you meant fashion accessory as opposed to 'car that is fast and handles well' ;)
