I admit it, I spend far too much time here!! >_<

The reason I can do this is because my work involves me being on "standby", so I spend an awful lot of time just sitting around doing very little waiting to be called out. I therefore spend many hours of my working life on the internet, just trying to pass the time.

When I'm not at work, my wife usually is and therefore as we have two children under the age of five, I spend most of the rest of my time at home looking after them. I therefore jump on and off TMF throughout the day when I'm at home, in between conversations about Peppa Pig and Iggle Piggle or just playing referee between two small squabbling children.

But surely not everyone is in this situation, most people must have proper jobs or educational courses that don't allow to be surfing the net all day. Or if not, they must have lives that don't involve them having to be chained to the house all day next to a PC, by two small children. Yet I notice from some peoples daily post count, that they seem to be here even more often than I am!! :ohno:

So here's a question for all you serial TMF addicts out there. Just what is your secret exactly?? How do you manage to live your life so you are able to be on here so often?

I spend half my work time working with clients or clubs, so no TMF there. The other half is spent planning or research so I'm sat at my desk, with TMF open on a Safari tab next to whatever I'm doing :D

Rank has its privileges. :ohno:

On call waiting for something to happen so in the mean time it's TMF. Granted my post count isn't high but I am constantly reading the threads.

Work for myself which requires being online basically all the time and when we are working I am online on my phone. It's an obsession I think, I've always wondered how much more I could earn if I spent my TMF time working hard? Probably double my wage and get myself a nice big house haha!

My post count is tiny compared to most, but I'm on here a lot reading topics and researching mini related things. I'm at uni doing a motorsport engineering degree, but we're only in for about 8 hours a week, so I'm usually at home on here when I should be studying :withstupid:

I work in an office, and need the internet for 'research' or admin purposes and that includes keeping an eye out on here.

I procrasinate at both work (full-time) and uni work (part-time).

If I didn't procrastinate on here I would probs have done all my work in good time and have been able to actually go to garage and work on the mini rather than reading about them haha.

Cheers
Chris

My work is mostly just responding to emails when they come, when they don't come then I have no work to do.

I also don't have children or any other pass times, so my evenings are free to go on here as well.

If I'm not on here then I'm probably in the garage working on the Mini!

smartphone for those boring bits in meetings, although I do ocasionally get caught out when someone asks me a question when I'm engrossed in someone's project thread...
