well today my newest project arrived home. and plans are to turn it into a rally car.
as you can see its a bare shell almost, its got carbon doors, mk1 boot lid and a bonnet and its got a weld in cage fitted
now it recuires some work, like a new front end, as its ropey as hell, also some tool has tried to tube the arches by cutting the lip and hammering it into the wheel arch, to create the effect required, although its shody job, so ill be repairing the damge there. oh and the front bualk head has been cut to bits to create god knows what, but ill be repairng it and turing it into a miglia style bualk head to keep my weber that i plan on fitting.
any ways heres some pics
but this is litrelly all i have for the car so far lol, so im gonna be looking at getting a front and rear subframe soon that i can start prepping
hope you like and ill try and keep this updated

Been thinking today front end needs replacing, and there's no inner wings there ATM due to previous owner, do I have to put the inner wings back in or not, I'm going to be welding a steel front back on anyway but I can use flip front bars to give me back all the stiffness in the car. If that makes sense lol
As been looking at my car today trying to think what I'm gona do with the frot end, as I have a quite Alot of welding to do frot end is coming of tomorrow as I'm sick of looking at rust

right well heres a pic of my probllem bualk head
luckly i have the repair section of one of my mates shells whch is so rusty its un real but the section i need is ok :)
on anouther note when fitting wings to a mini who does welds it like this?
well i know one thing they wernt gonna fall of even if they werent welded to the a panles lol
and this is the front off, as it was bent and twisted and looked rough.
goign to be taking of the a panles as theyve been cut for bigger wheels, but ive already got those pannles, just need inner wings, outer wings and front pannle as well as to repair my baulkhead and make a miglia style dash lol, and thats teh front end welded up, but got to wait till next month to buy the pannles for the car :/ but i got things i can be gettign on with like cleanignthe roll cage up, and gettign it sprayed, and then covering it up for when i spray the rest of the car lol
oh hers a pic of the inside of the car
hope you all like.
will keep this updated

oooo could have some fun with that cage ;)
Might be worth considering a floor bar between the two front up-right legs that attach to the front subframe rear mounts.
Be worth stiching the cage into the shell too... up on the A pillars for example and anywhere where the cage is close to the body.
Internal gear change? (can have the subframe higher and the exhaust tucked up in the tunnel for better ground clearance)
Am currently doing a modified front subframe (strengthened and lightened) to add to the stock... if you are interested in purchasing once complete...
Drop me a PM if you need any help/parts making or advice...
ttfn,
Dave

wind blew a bit to hard today :/
nah only joking
decided to push it on its side and so i can sort the bottom out, ive decided im going to strip the bottom of paint and crap, and then im gonna rust treat it all and paint it black, and cover it all in underseal, :) so should be a good day tomorrow.
dont think it looks to bad, should be a nice easy day tomorrow :)
