I've had a look at these and others and they all look like the same ones whether they are £50 or £90.

Bought 2 from this seller and both have been great. One was damaged in the post and was replaced without hassle in less than a week.

I had one and it leaked. Cost silly amounts to return it so bought another. 3 months later that one leaked too.

The alloy is very very thin and they crack and split around the welds very easily. They are cheap for a reason.

I guess some must be ok and I'm sure some people have had good experiences but you are taking a risk with a low quality product.

Surprised by that, was it this seller? When mine arrived damaged they replace it without question. I didn't send the old one back, I just weighed it in the next time I went to the scrappy. I had the first one pressure tested back to back against a Radtec one and it came out as just as good. The only difference I found was that Radtec were a pain to deal with and didn't bother returning calls or answering questions whereas the Chinese were brilliant. Very sad to see Brits failing even basic customer service issues.

The seller was good about it don't get me wrong. I just didn't bother returning it as I don't know how they ship it for £20. I tried everyone from this end and it was pretty much the same as the over all rad cost.

The did do a discount on the replacement but that didn't last long.

Both times they failed around welds.

I have had them re-welded and I am still using the second rad and keeping the first for a spare.

You must admit they are pretty thin in areas and the welding isn't the best.

Good for the money I guess but I still think you would be getting a more reliable rad from a decent UK outlet.

The welding isn't pretty but I don't spend a lot of time looking at it. I have done over 10,000 miles on them with no problems. There have been a couple of threads on here and the overwhelming experience seems to be positive. Obviously they aren't perfect as you have had problems but my experience of Radtec who are supposed to be good was that they weren't interested in selling me one and even less interested when I had questions about an issue with one. I am a big fan of buying British but an even bigger fan of good customer service and on this one the Chinese wins for me on both price and service, with quality well within what is needed. The only possible exception would be for a concourse car where the Radtec welding does look a bit prettier.

I'm sure someone who was raving about these when he bought 2 came back a year later saying both cores had burst :/

Do a search, there have been a couple of threads about them. I can't remember Any really negative comments. Just people moaning about the welding. It's not the prettiest, but chicken poo it certainly ain't. Mine was pressure tested at Lola Cars and came up as good as the Radtec one. What more can you ask for? Most people slagging them off don't seem to have had either type.

There is a place somewhere in Oxfordshire (Watlington? Wallingford?) that does them for similar money. My mate has had one in his daughters road car for a year or more, no issues.

I'll try and find out the name of the company.
