Here I have a mini restoration project that my wonderful partner has bought for me, (he or she yet to be decided) it's in a little sorry Sad state and is in need of bringing back to the land of the living. Colour as of yet to be decided, would like something just totally different so ideas would be appreciated.

Look's like a good project, I think red would look good, you don't see many red mini's. :whistling:

What year was it built?

Not keen on red and I think it's too popular, and year or the car is 1981

Lapari blue or surf blue are incredibly nice on a mini!!!

Otherwise go for something less sad (blue) and have a bright cheery colour

Brown cars are becoming popular again! I just picked up a brown mini to restore myself

Its russet brown, but there are so many shades, and you dont see many brown minis these days as they all tend to be painted red lol

Russet brown is about as retro as you can get....  We got a russet brown clubby sat waiting for restoration, but really has to stay russet with slightly banded steels, no arches and chrome hub caps with a brown velour interior.

Looks like an excellent base for a project! Is there much welding and repairs to do on it as it does look remarkably solid.
