I tried putting a screw driver in but it felt like it was going to snap, I shall try the other ways mentioned tomorrow.
Thanks for the replies

If the washer is that tight, you may have to resort to a small chisel in the split once it breaks the seal it will come out fine. As, as been said it could be that the wheel bearings have seized on the cv shaft plenty of penetrating fluid and gentle persuasion with a hammer on the hub flange protected with a piece of wood should get it moving, a hub puller, if you have one may also help.

Sorted with the use of a crow bar, the problem was the dirt between the hub outer bit and the inside of the disc

Thanks now I've got to do the other side tomorrow, but I now know what to do if it doesn't work like today.

So I tried using the washing line pole as extra leverage and managed to bend it, oops, the problem is I can't go out and get a scaffold pole or something as mate is un drivable, so now I have started on fitting my stage one kit, managed to unbolt the manifold, but it's stuck to the pipe, nothing is ever straight forward .

Another problem do these gaskets go on here and also the bolts that hold the inlet manifold on to the head, are attached to the old manifold and the new one does not have any? What do I do?

they don't have gaskets on there as this area goes onto the head, the head has an exhaust and inlet gasket which is one gasket also it should just bolt on with nuts and shouldn't need any bolts

Thanks
I have that gasket, and three of the small ones, I take it one of then goes from the inlet to carb and the other behind the plate think big where does the third one go as I have taken of the other two but can't find a third one? The inlet bolts to the head but where the carb goes on the inlet there is no bolts as the y were on the old manifold, so I'm not sure what to do there, thanks for the help
