Oh bloody bugger and bum!

 

I just pop out to the garage to re-test my reverse switch before I order a new one. It does work so I just didn't have it fitted right I reckon.

 

Then I think 'While I'm here, I'll refit the air filter housing that sitting on the side'. I do that and go to start the car, and the sodding clutch cable won't pull out for love nor money. I only replaced that a short while ago. 

 

Is this just shoddy parts or bad luck? Damned if I know!

 

I also need to find the right way to secure the switch panel. Do people stick it down to the lower dash rail?

My choke cable melted on the rocker cover :-(

 

New one fitted and I've routed the cable behind the carb and then round to it's mounting point. Doesn't go near the rocker cover now. All working!

Make sure its nowhere near the exhaust manifold though! I've been stung by that one before
