I dont normally comment much but with the white wheels and white roof i think it looks fantastic

I know you have already said its going back silver, i think it will probably look just as good silver but i think its the white sportspack wheels that make it look that bit different

They've been done poorly and are chipped so will need refueling if I'm to keep them. However, I'm going to buy some ultralites :)

Definitely worth getting the k and n replacement filter, well proven. Just the replacement that fits in the box though

Yeh, thats what i was looking at. The air box looks pretty good.

I might start a different thread, but has any other MPi owner noticed that the throttle body's butterfly doesn't open all the way up at what? Its like 85% open on the stop.

Yeah, you can remove the restriction but the reality is that it makes no difference, didn't stop me though :)

I was going to grind it back a little to allow extra opening but not fully 90 degrees.

Just take the restrictor off, decat makes a good difference in driving too, far less restrictive

I'd want a silenced decat, it's damn noisy with the current set up! Lol

Just fit a two box without the decay as per normal minis? People are questionable about it, but the engine is so more free revving. Noticed the impact even more when I did the 2 min job of putting it back for the mot :)

I noticed a difference with the cat off, worth doing if you're looking for a slight performance increase

what exhaust to you have at the moment? looks like a twin pipe of some sort, a single exit will be quieter

thing is as soon as you move away from standard the noise creeps up..

On all my evo's its been the same scenario. Although decats do help spool of the turbo as well as top end power (torque not bhp).

A quick FYI for anyone who has cloudy spot lights on their mini, there's a way to get rid of it with some elbow grease and other products ;) Remove all the spots, pour Harpic limescale remover in them when their face down and leave them for 10 minutes. Pull up the tabs on the back and take off the bulb mount, cut up a scouring pad into 1"x1"and put it into light and rub the glass from the inside using your finger. I did this 3 times and they're like new !!

I also put the airfilter housing and rear light lenses in the 'part cleaner' (dish washer), all degreased and clean! Just need some paint and some polish and wax on the rear lenses and they can be refit :) (this is pic is before they went in)

Yep! And the rear lights

On another note, sprayed up all the spot light bulb holders and reassembled all the lights.

The old remote looked crap, so replaced the casing on that too.

Don't ask or tell her  just pop it in when she's gone to bed.... One of the guys in my local club did his stripped down gearbox casing on the hot "pots and pans" setting- came up lovely I believe :whistling:
