There was something in the paper the other day where a Yodel driver had done a crap in someone's garden - and wiped their arse with a Yodel 'sorry you were out' card. It's true!

Only ever been spot on for me (both ways). Used them quite a few times too. Same goes for MyHermes, heard so many bad reviews, but they're my number 1

Terrible service. Took 2 weeks to deliver a hg. I ended up collecting it. On 3 occasions it went back due to courier being out of the area. And nothing done about it! Constant issues and i ended up getting my £7 delivery money back.

I believe that Yodel are the amalgamation of the UK division of "DHL" (A respectable Courier service) and "HDNL" (The Home Delivery Network") A truly terrible courier service, foremerly known as "White Arrow", but forced to change their name to HDNL, due to having the reputation of being a truly terrible courier service!

Hmmm do we see a bit of a pattern emerging here? The former DHL employees must be so proud of how things have turned out!

Are they linked to Myhermes. Blatant liars.

Been waiting for a high speed die grinder from EBay. Nothing so contacted the seller and he said it's been delivered. Myliars said they put it in the shed. So they now have become lock pickers as they would have had to go through a locked gate and then into a locked shed.

Then after being told this was not possible it was then left by the shed, again can't do that, there is a six foot fence in the way and the locked gate.

Are there any really decent trustworthy delivery companies out there.

I had a huge battle with myhermes over a bottle of port and some toblerone which I posted to my sister to give my 99 year old Grandad for Christmas. Myhermes argued they don't insure glass or liquids against damage. I pointed out there was no evidence the port had smashed and that their driver had stolen it. After telling them I was going to report it as a crime I got compensation

Both Yodel and myhermes are useless. One sticks things randomly under stuff where the parcels get wet and since you can't read their writing it's a parcel hunt. The other self signs so if the stuff gets damaged or missing you can't get compensation as they have "proof of delivery".
Had a set of expensive rubber car mats delivered by Yodel and the bag had blatantly been cut open to see what was in the heavy black bag, guy denies it and says "it was like that". Photographed and sent to supplier, long story short Mr dodgy delivery driver never seen again (I suspect it wasn't the only complaint they had).
The real DHL is good and DPD excellent but the best is UPS IMHO.
I have Amazon Prime and if comes up yodel I cancel if I can before despatch as its just not worth it. DPD on the other hand is brill, timed delivery emailed and you can email message to driver.
