If your photo bucket account etc is filling up quickly use a photo re-sizer you can then upload a lot more to them. I've got 2000+ photos on there and at about 15%.

I use flickr, and on the iphone the app flickrstackr. It has a default image upload size you can change (mine is currently 1200 pixels wide) to save space, and make it easier to upload photos directly from a phone or tablet. It has an easy bbcode img copy section too.
