Hello all,
I've done a search however I can't seem to find the answer to my issue.
I have a 1988 Mini Mayfair, when I bought it came with 13x7 Superlites on 175/50/13 tyres.
When turning the steering wheel - not full lock more like 3/4 lock - I have very bad rubbing on the wheel arches.
I believe they are sportspack arches.
Initially I thought it might be caused by the suspension drooping so to test I've jacked it up on the front subframe but even with the wheels completely off the ground they still make contact so I've ruled that out.
What can I do to stop the rubbing short of changing the wheels/tyres for smaller/narrower? I'd like to keep the same wheels - excuse the kerb marks from the previous owner, will be getting them refurbed once this issue is sorted.
I've taken a few photos which will hopefully show where they rub.
Let me know if you need more info/photos.
Thanks,
Paul
