Thanks for that, like you say we are short in our area though aren't we, there is defo some clubs about but for a monthly or weekly meet they are a bit scattered.

Manchester Minis are a good bunch I used to live in Stockport where their meets are.

I have been along to anyone elses.

I would be good to get a load of us with some minis local together maybe.

A weekday summer run in the evenings would be great.

There is a great pub called The Scotch Piper in Lydiate, on the way past Ormskirk to Southport. On a Wednesday anywhere upto 300 bikes will turn up, the scouts used to run a barbie to raise funds. Nice twisty roads then we used to end up at the carousel at Southport. Really enjoyed these rides.

You might have to avoid Wednesdays though.

I haven't been out on the bike now for 3 years so am wondering if it's still open

That sounds like it could be an awesome meet... and the best plan we have yet, I am new to the area so really haven't a clue on the best places to meet etc

There is a classic car meet at the Scotch Piper on Monday evenings and the occasional Sunday too. Look up Scotch Piper Classics on Facebook if you can. It's local to me although I've only managed to get along a couple of times it's a very friendly meet.

Ive put my pics on YouTube as a slideshow. I only found the forum after I had started so didnt take many photos or do a build thread which I kind of regret now.
I apologise for the long video of engine running (15 seconds) not sure how to alter it now. It was the first start up after it had been stood for 10 years.
Heres the link if you want to watch

Im also in Wigan, not far from Steve above. Id be willing to lend a hand in reassembling Steve when the weather gets better LOL

Im a member of Leyland Mini Club, was a member of NW Mini Club but I didnt really like the clique there.... Didnt like the way that members of the same family ran the club.... Theres also a Mini club in Chorley, but thats hit and miss if anyone turns up so I stopped going....

Id be up for a meet later in the year, mine should be back on the road then too. Its got its MoT next month and I know it won't pass, so gives me an excuse to take it off the road and sort out the thing....

I might hold you to that. Ha.
Ive seen the leyland mini club at a few car shows and there always seems to be a good turnout with them. I also joined the group in Chorley on Facebook but I dont use it anymore. I never got to go to any of their meets
