Will I get a classic Mini in this?

https://www.machinem...-shelter-shed-/

Looks like it should fit width wise? Limited on driveway space and need to move the car out of the garage to have the asbestos roof removed.

Yes,  The external dimensions of a Mini are smaller than the internal dimensions of the proposed tent-shed.

You might struggle to get out of the mini once it's under the tent-shed.

You could try one of these

Depends how limited, and how long the garage is going to be out of action....

Dont want to offend but with that bike cover tent thing you had may as well buy a tarp. If i had to empty my garage to build a new roof id prob not buy anything so i pulled my finger out and got it fixed up in a weekend

It will be a push in job with the mini. I want something that blocks movement in the drive anywaywhilst the work is being done. I won't be doing the work so will be reliant on other people which is another reason for having something a little more permanent.

May I suggest that before you get the rear wheels inside the tent, that you remove three wheel nuts each side and loosed the fourth.

With the car in the tent, jack it from behind under the rear subframe, one side at a time, block it up, remove the fourth nut and put the wheels under your side of the bed.

LOL .......... But true.
Although
Pikeys usually come with accessories like cordless grinders or portable burning torches for locks / hinges, suspended wheel fold up A frames, replacement hitches for trailers after they have cut off originals, ....... Honestly unless you have had a car or a trailer nicked when you thought it was impossible you wouldn't believe the lengths they go to.
My car is in a locked garage with TWO VERY loud telephone bells on a sensitive PIR that scare the **** out of you when they go off ( when you have forgotten to immobilise them)
When I was racing most of us parked up close to their clamped trailer I had a cheap personal alarm attached by a clear nylon fishing line hanging up in my tent. Even then they went missing.

OP ... Carcoon is the way to go .. It's expensive but very worth it .

I bought one of these recently just for storage as I moved and now don't have a garage. My experience is it's not waterproof.  3 covers later it's going back.

I was lucky with the roof change in the end, no need for a cover as the weather was good and the whole process was completed in a day.

I have had no problems with my cover, there is a bit of condensation from time to time but it has stood up well with the snow and high winds and is bone dry inside.

Interesting reading the above comments. I have considered one of the machine mart ones. Simply for temporary and occasional outside storage for when the workshop is occupied by other things.

I too have had no isssues with the trike home shelter. Been nearly a year now. It does get condensation from time to time but it dries out quick if you open the side flaps.

For the cold weather I use a stormforce cover under the trike cover, this does such a good job and keeps the little condensation I get off the car.

I had the vents open and it clearly wasn't just condensation as after rain if I lifted the cover it poured off the underside.

I put a cover on the car when I found that the Trike cover wasn't waterproof and that resulted in micro blisters so now I have to get the roof repainted :-(

When I put a tarp over the trike cover (with it's third cover) it actually stayed dry so I conclude whilst I may have been unlucky it wasn't waterproof.

Now it's gone back I need to look for something else. I was looking at these:

https://www.dancover...-pvc-green.aspx

https://www.machinem...-shelter-shed-/

Does anyone have any experience of these?

Thanks

Andrew
