My master cylinder has failed and was wondering weather a repair kit could solve the issues by replacing the seals orif it may also be something else. Attached is a photo of the master cylinder type I have

Seals might help if the bore is still in good condition. You can always strip it and check it first before deciding on new seals or a new master

It all looks rather 'wet' around it.
If it's brake fluid, then a seal kit I doubt would help. I'd say that the Reservoir has a hole in it.
