Well what a weekend  1st off started sorting some of the gear I'm taking to Germany - having been jock/radio presenter I thought we could do with a bit of largring it oop, hence da gear!! Just bought a 3.4Ghz dual core rack PC for stuff.

Redesigning rack to make it lighter etc.

Had a good crack @ painting bodyshell, lot of hard work getting surface flattened (wet n dry, water and bar of soap folks!) Cleaned off with a skweege of panel wipe and down to the nitty ma gritty. >_<

It's BLOO and no mistake. :P :P :o :o

Going to let it harden now - The paintwork that is :) before any polishing. Time to start re-firbing the inside with goodies. :P :o

Soon!!!!

Looks amazing >_<, just an idea, it might be worth removing the rear seat and parcel shelf to give you more space for bits inside, also it will save you a bit of weight, then just put a brace in somewhere to it will give some support back.

Nice idea Tom only I'm using rear seat /back for headboard for my bed. :)

Removing the seat squab and parcel shelff also removes the majority of the strength in the shell.

Well done Miniboo you're 1/2 right ^_^ Yes it is the sound-deadening gunk off the floor but it weighs an amazing 10kg. :o

As updated yesterday, have started on flooring now that hard, tarmacky black stuff out the way. Ground off various metal bits on centre tunnel and with father's help made couple of wooden bearers (see pic) and have cut out marine ply. Note: have run cable through for lights.

Other side already cut out and needs fitting in position. Will be making remainder of bearers today, checking floor is waterproof and then securing the floor in place. :( >_<

Possibly next few days will take out side of 'da shack' so I can move the trailer about to fit 'A' bar & no so flippy front!!!! :D

Next on shopping list is blue tint perspex and towbar for car.

No probz if he wants to bring them, its ok with me.

Probably a lightweight setup - Twin cd rack system + 4 x 200watt 12" bins (standard 12" subs + horns and piezo tweets). Be bringing one of my 4head lasers + moony gobo & stuff including DMX controller. Gotta l/weight 3metre high gantry to mount gear onto.

Just for fun will have 200gigs worth of music on pc (whole spectrum 60s thro to 2008+) also a big wedge of music vids/ car vids/ fun vids. That lot I hope to project on screen behind me.

If we get booored with that what about watching some dvd films in blastovision or even playing playstation games (Gran Tourismo etc) on probably 2 x 3metre screen.

Did I say fun or what :techsupport: :dontgetit:  :( :ermm: :dontgetit:

Enuff said - I'll shut up now> :P

airbed sounds like a top idea as it will mold around anything that sticks out inside and also save lots of weight

getting close now... good luck with the final push on the project

got my new project now aswell to be don for next year

good luck again alan

air beds are the most uncomfortable things in the world!! and a pain in the arse because they never stay inflated properly over night.
like Bungle said, memory foam cut to size would be ur best bet. my opinion anyway.
its looking brilliant n i cant wait to see it finished.
although after reading through, i cant help agree with everyone that mentioned nose weight.
good luck tho. :shifty:
