Hi - just googled mini forum and up popped this forum.  Like to have access to advice and info on my car - the things garages don't tell you.

Found and used the wealth of information in sprockets spi post to save my daily driver on google, had to join for that alone.
Good to find an active forum where people genuinely try and help others out!

You will find a good range of knowledge and many differing opinions. With owners on 4 continents. Which can cause confusion with different specs etc.

Hi, i'm Chris,

Heard about this forum from my son, Joel. We are in Devon near Plymouth, well i'm still here but he is now in Surrey with his 2000xe powered mini.

In years past, (a lot of years past) I owned many minis, in fact I believe this one is 14. It is certainly the most modified I have ever owned.

I am almost at the point where I would like to see how well it goes so information on events close to home would be welcome.

For many years I followed the Classic mini section on Piston heads. In the last year the posts have reduced to a dribble. I found all the mini nuts are now here.

I have not been without a mini for over 40 years now. its an addiction.

Hi all, my name is Ian was brought up with minis with my dad and had a few through the years but got put on hold as all my money was going into my house. Now that's done thought it was time to get back into it so got my italian job in red about 3+ years ago and a 1985 Austin mini 12 months ago, I knew about the forum and have decided to join as it's a usefull source of information! will probably take more out than I put in though.

I didn't know you had any friends, Wil  ;D .

Good to see you on here. Now you will be able to help with the technical questions.

See you at lunch at Race-Retro.
